Engaging a Donor; Thinking Outside of the Box
We turned a donor who wanted to donate $100,000 to a specific project that ultimately was not feasible, into a donor who not only gave over $1 million but, through his gift, kickstarted a multi million dollar national program and furthermore created a challenge grant that raised millions of dollars for one of the largest global non profits. We were donor centric, got to know our donor well, found out how they wanted to give, what excited them and why, and then set about finding the right program for their donation, cultivating and engaging them throughout the entire project and ensuring they could see ow their legacy could be accomplished. This way we discovered the ways in which this donor could ultimately make the impact and difference he so dearly treasured and wanted for generations to come.
Government Relations
Whether during Superstorm Sandy or trying to get a city to participate in a national campaign, or just needing a warm introduction to a key community partner, constantly networking and developing relationships with elected officials and municipalities is crucial to successfully helping their residents and ultimately fulfilling mission. Strategic Planning and Ambassador Training
When times change or different people pass through your organization, when the lines of communications become blurred or people put their own personal imprint on your fundraising platform and projects, it's time to re-assess and create a realistic strategic plan. This will create structure, increase fundraising, and present a clear path forward. It's all about your networks and relationships. We can offer you support, connections and guidance from some of our most powerful relationships and networks which have been built over years. At the American Red Cross, when in order ti run successful campaigns we needed to have the cities on our side, the police and fire departments to collaborate with us, community partners and residents to leverage their relationships and introduce us into areas where they were welcomed with open arms, we could do this and be highly successful because we had developed strong ties and connections over the years. WE never forget our friends and connections, but continue to build them day after day and that is why when we ran the American Red Cross "Sound the Alarm" campaign the two cities we worked with became the most successful in the country.
